As soon as Pinterest is out, real estate professionals are out there trying to think of creative ways to market themselves on yet "another" platform.
As a marketer and someone who constantly think about business, I understand where this thought came from.
But here's where I'd put a stop to BUSINESS and let's just start working on some FUN STUFF.
Life isn't just ALWAYS about BUSINESS.

Pinterest, when I found it about 2 weeks ago sounds like an interesting concept to me. My friends have long joined Pinterest and I wonderred what it is.
In case you didn't know - Pinterest is like an online Creative Board where you pin your favorite photos/ images. You can create many boards based on "themes". I have My Favorite Books, Favorite Quotes and I especially love my VISION BOARD I created.
Pinterest is a place where we can have fun and share with others the things you like. If you want to talk about business, the only place I see "fit" for business is that you also show your clients and prospective clients the PERSON in personal life besides just WORK all the time.
Not everything is BUSINESS. We need to have a life and Pinterest is a great answer for introverts as well as workaholics. It's our "get away" for a few moments.
However, prior to entering, I know how Pinterest can be yet another addictive thing like Facebook that sucks your time always. So play with it with CAUTION. Dont say you've never been warn.

Pinterest Your Interests

Loreena, I have checked out Pinterest and found that it seemed like scrapbooking. Like you said, not everything can be business related. Have fun with it!
But wouldn't it be wonderful if we could combine our interests with work just a little bit. I have been trying to figure out how to "pin" my listings to Pinterest. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
Hi Loreena-I joined Pinterest but haven't really done anything with it as yet. I know that there is probably a way to market yourself on there, but I don't see how I can squeeze any more time to figure that one out. I am still trying to figure out Twitter for crying out loud lol :)!
I just don't think there is enough time in the day to get to all these online things and still have time to live!
I have been seeing a lot about it, but have not takings the leap. Time gets away from me as it is! And though I agree that there needs to be time without the pressure of being "on", wouldn't it be great to connect with people that have similar interests and then gradually become their go-to agent with no effort? Sometimes not trying to sell yourself is what works!
I haven't looked at this site yet Loreena but have heard of it. Thanks for the review...
Oh, a new shiny toy! I must check it out!
You are right Loreena, sometimes you just have to take a break and have some fun. Glad you are enjoying Pinterest.
HI Loreena, I like the Pinterest website but haven't joined yet. There are only so many hours in a day! btw, let us know if you have any new developments today!
Loreena,
Cherise and I have looked this one over, and frankly, to us, it's another thing to keep others busy. We wonder about it's profitability in business and interfacing with others... g
You need to know how to balance life. Keep things simple and enjoy.
I dont think the boards are a place to blast your listings but instead an opportunity of sharing other things about our communities--I have seen many doing boards about parks, restaurants and favorite landmarks and this is cool
So far, I have not become addicted to Pinterest. EVERYONE loves it.... and I may too... but for now, it's only okay! HA! :)))
Loreena, it is scrapbooking to me & i just do not have the time..hope the new babe is doing so well.
